UK Consumers Could Save On Their Cost’s At Christmas

With Christmas fast approaching, and many consumers in the UK clocking up spiralling costs on one or more of their credit cards, it could be time to start thinking about how to save money on the cost of Christmas and New Year.

This is a season that is expensive enough, with people rushing out to buy everything from party clothes and tickets to events to food, drink, and gifts. However, for those making all of these purchases on the plastic the cost can spiral even higher because of interest that will be added if the balance on each card is not cleared in full.

Interest charges added to credit card balances can make a huge difference to the amount that consumers end up repaying. For those that have spent on a number of credit cards, and are unable to clear the balance in full at the end of the month, interest will be added by each of the card issuers, which could really bump up the balance on each of the cards.

However, there is a way in which consumers with a good credit rating can help to keep the cost of Christmas and New Year down, and this is by transferring all of the balances from their high interest credit cards onto one 0% balance transfer credit card. This will enable Brits to enjoy spreading the cost of the festive season without incurring hefty interest charges on what they have spent. It will also make repaying the debt more manageable for those that have clocked up balances on a number of cards.

Those wishing to transfer their balances onto an interest free credit card should act quickly, however, so that they receive their card and can transfer their balances before they are hit with interest charges by their existing card issuers.
